Excerpt from the description: The Wild M540 fiber coupling device is an optomechanical special device for precise fiber-to-fiber coupling in attenuation and dispersion measurements in optical telecommunications. It can be combined with measuring devices from various manufacturers and allows for non-destructive and repeatable attenuation measurements using the insertion loss method. The positioning device of the M540 ensures an accuracy of ±1.0 µm. The positioning control is done in the integrated stereomicroscope with an upright, right-side-up, and stereoscopic image, which can be magnified up to 100x using the three-stage magnification changer and the 10x, 15x, and 20x eyepieces.
A special objective 1.25x with mirrored beam splitter and deflection prisms allows simultaneous observation of the coupling point in both the top and side views. The illumination system is designed so that the light rays of a Soffitten incandescent lamp 6 V / 3 W illuminate the fiber from both below and from the front through two mirrored deflection prisms. Both images can be observed simultaneously in one field of view.
At low magnification, aperture stops are visible for each fiber view, making positioning easier. With a pivoting diaphragm, either the side view or the top view can be selectively concealed.

Components
Body Type: M3
Eyepieces: 10x/21 with diopter adjustment
Special objective: 1.25x
Magnification: Up to 100x
Positioning accuracy of the positioning device: ±1.0 µm

This microscope is in good used condition. Light paint chippings can be seen in the last image, possibly indicating prolonged exposure to moisture. However, the functionality is flawless, and the eyepieces look like new.
