Approximately thirty professionals, both in front-facing roles and behind the scenes, cater to the needs and ideas of our diverse clientele, primarily composed of industrial and research firms, alongside companies in the biological, medical, and educational domains.

FIVE DECADES OF HERITAGE

Founded by Bernhard Ryf in 1965, our company has been a microscopy specialist from its inception. It swiftly ventured into developing its own lighting systems. Until 1993, the company underwent multiple relocations in pursuit of suitable premises. In 1999, Daniel Ryf, the current owner and CEO, joined the family business. The company's expansion continued in 2006 with the establishment of a subsidiary in Commugny, catering to the growing demand. From 2007 onward, momentum accelerated as Ryf SA became Switzerland's exclusive reseller and support provider for Nikon's industrial products. The SAP operating system was implemented in 2008, with a partnership formed with Vision Engineering for Lynx, Kestrel, and Hawk products. In 2009, maintenance and repair services were expanded, and by 2011, the range of Nikon Metrology's three-dimensional measuring equipment broadened. In recognition of the extensive and high-quality services, Ryf SA obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2015.

Over the years, the company's growth propelled it to the forefront of the microscopes and measuring systems market. Embracing the motto "the best solution for you," the company operates independently, focusing on long-term solutions. The opening of a new branch office with a showroom in Zurich marked a significant milestone.

Despite its current renown, Ryf SA has preserved its human scale and close ties to its employees. In a familial atmosphere where closeness matters, CEO Daniel Ryf understands the importance of investing in his team. Many team members boast extensive service records and loyalty to the company, contributing to its success in engineering, logistics, sales, and administration. With thirty staff members, including apprentices, the company remains an excellent place to work on a daily basis.
