Ryf AG | ZEISS Visioner 1: Digital Microscope with MALS™ Technology and Ultra-Deep Sharpness for Visual Inspection and Documentation
Digital microscope with MALS™ technology, optical real-time all-in-focus inspection.
Traditional inspection systems often suffer from limited depth of field, resulting in parts of the sample potentially being imaged out of focus, leading to missing features, user fatigue, and incomplete inspection.
ZEISS Visioner 1 revolutionizes the world of optical inspection and documentation. Powered by the unique Micro-Mirror-Array-Lens System (MALSTM Technology), it enables real-time all-in-focus imaging for the first time - every time.
EDoF is a process where multiple images are combined through the focal plane to produce a sharp image.
This can be time-consuming and complex with traditional microscopy systems.
ZEISS Visioner 1 allows the user to see the sample completely sharp in real-time, without the need for a series of Z-stack images and post-processing.
The unique Micro-mirror Array Lens System (MALS™) technology enables extended depth of field (EDoF) in real-time.
MALS™ Technology
ZEISS Visioner 1 powered by MALS™ technology.
- Up to 100x more usable extended depth of field
- Allows height differences of up to 69 mm*
- Reflective micro-mirror arrangement with curvature arranged in a flat plane (variable)
- Each micro-mirror is approximately 100x100 µm in size.
- Each micro-mirror rotates and shifts to form optical surfaces with variable curvatures.
- No need for Z-stacking or refocusing
- Redefining the rules of optics
MALS™ enables optical inspection of height differences of up to 69 mm* in focus. Without the need for Z-stacking or refocusing.
The use of a Micro-Mirror-Array Lens System (MALS™) allows us to create "virtual" lenses with significantly different curvatures, i.e., different focal planes. This is achieved by changing the alignment of each individual micro-mirror in an orchestrated manner.
The rapid transformation of the curvature of this "virtual" lens allows for ultra-fast focusing and real-time imaging and documentation.
Applications
Comparison of images of a needle, an electrical board, and a resistor using a traditional inspection method vs. ZEISS Visioner 1. Thanks to the new MALS™ technology, the part can be viewed all-in-focus every time on the first attempt.
