Improving on Perfection

For over 25 years, confocal microscopes have been available commercially. Despite being a fundamentally simple instrument, how can newer iterations of it continue to innovate? The latest addition to the Nikon family, the AX/AX R Confocal Microscope System, is the 10th generation point scanning confocal that provides more features, such as leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), increasing the number of colors, improving pixel density, sensitivity, and speed.
