Description
It permits viewing of an object field with a diameter of up to 25 mm. This means that a standard 26x76 mm slide can be entirely examined with a single move in the x-direction. Therefore an adequate field illumination is required. The only condenser which illuminate the 25 mm diameter object field (not possible anyway without a condenser) is the achromatic aplanatic universal condenser 0.9 used in the brightfield position and with swung-out front lens.
On account of its low aperture, this transmitted-light objective can be used with cover slips of any thickness or without any cover slip at all.
