NEXIV VMZ-S3020 - Unprecedented Speed and Precision

High accuracy, high speed, and unparalleled usability define the NEXIV VMZ-S3020. It achieves micro-level tolerance management, reaching the pinnacle of video measurement performance within a compact system.

Nikon's outstanding optics ensure high accuracy and repeatability across the field of view, enhancing measurement speed. The VMZ-S3020 provides a 300 x 200 x 200 mm (X x Y x Z) stroke, ideal for measuring small components like semiconductors, electronics, and mechanical parts.

Product Overview

With the rapid growth of self-driving car sensor technology and the full EV market in the automotive industry, the demand for electronic components is soaring. Strict quality control for these critical components has elevated expectations for shop floor measuring equipment. Nikon addresses this with the "NEXIV VMZ-S" series tailored for challenging applications.

Throughput Enhancement

Faster short-distance stage movements significantly improve throughput, contributing to the reduction of measurement time.

New Design

The exterior redesign includes an improved joystick for stage and optical head movements, ensuring easier and less fatiguing machine operation during extended use.

Measurement Programming Support

The NEXIV AutoMeasure software achieves high precision, high speed, and easy measurement with valuable functions. A crucial new feature facilitates the creation of measurement programs. By selecting the measurement point, the system handles several settings, automatically generating measurement program code.*

*This function is designed for workpieces with a simple shape structure.

Guide of Conditions

With diascopic illumination, the guide outlines conditions for components with perforations or voids, clearly detected edge contours, without significant variations or material contamination (circle, rectangle, and circular arc).

Digital Operation Guide - NEXIV Note

This function provides slides and movie output alongside NEXIV contents, covering basic operations and functions. Simple measurement programs can be easily created using this application.

High Magnification Zooming Heads: Type 4, TZ

Type 4 and TZ models feature Nikon's 15× and 120× zoom optics with higher magnification and the highest NA of 0.46. Type 4 includes LED episcopic and diascopic illuminators, along with an LED 8-segment ring illuminator with a 50-degree incident angle. TZ is equipped with LED episcopic, diascopic (for higher magnification), and darkfield illuminators.

Detection of 0.1 mm Transparent Layer

Designed to detect the surfaces of thin transparent materials, the new TTL Laser AF operates with the same high speed and accuracy as the VMR series Laser AF.

8-Segment Ring Illumination with Three Incident Angles

Standard magnification zooming heads (type 1-3) come with 8-segment LED inner and outer ring illuminators, along with episcopic and diascopic illuminators. Incident angles of 37, 55, and 75 degrees, along with adjustable illumination directions and intensity, provide flexibility.

The incident angle of the 8-segment ring illuminator for type 4 is 50 degrees, and for type A is 18 degrees.

15x High-Speed Zoom

A 5-step, high-speed optical zoom with a zoom ratio of 15:1 allows a wide field-of-view at low magnification and highest-resolution observation at the maximum magnification position (type 1 – 4).
