Live demonstrations, personal discussions and two talks – from 29 October to 1 November 2026

Baden-Baden, October 2026 – From 29 October to 1 November 2026, MikroAge presents its complete microscope range at the congress in Baden-Baden. At stand 51-EG, visitors can experience modern darkfield microscopy live, see the different microscope models and, if they wish, view their own blood under the microscope.

Description

Innovative technology to try

The MikroAge darkfield microscopes are the focus of the exhibition. They combine high-quality optics, precise mechanics and innovative illumination.

One special feature is the further developed super-widefield technology. Even at low magnifications it provides an exceptionally large, evenly illuminated field of view and opens additional possibilities for the microscopic examination of blood and other liquids.

All microscopes on display are ready for demonstration. Visitors can judge the image quality for themselves and see the differences between the models directly.

A special offer: anyone who wishes can view their own blood under the darkfield microscope and gain a fascinating view of the microscopic world.

Two talks with interesting insights

Alongside the exhibition, Andreas Gerzen gives two talks on darkfield microscopy and particular microscopic observations.

Friday, 30 October 2026 | 10:15–10:45
“The Gerzen cells – a new cell type in blood”
Meeting room 7, 2nd floor

In this talk Andreas Gerzen presents his observations of cell-like structures in blood that have not yet been fully characterised. The focus is on their appearance and the question of whether they could be a cell type that has not been described before.

Saturday, 31 October 2026 | 10:15–10:45
“Possibilities and limits of darkfield microscopy”
Congress hall II, 2nd floor

Which structures can be made visible with modern darkfield microscopy? Where are the technical possibilities, and where are the limits of the method?

Andreas Gerzen explains the features of the darkfield technique and shows how illumination, optics and correct handling affect the quality of microscopic observations.

Personal conversation is welcome

Andreas Gerzen will be at the stand throughout the fair, except during his two talks.

“I am especially looking forward to talking directly with our visitors. Darkfield microscopy has to be experienced in person. That is why all of our microscopes are ready for demonstration, and anyone who wishes can also look at their own blood under the microscope.”

Attractive trade-fair discounts are offered to visitors who are interested in buying a microscope.
